It is the only coastal recreation area on the whole island of La Palma. It opened on 3 October 2014 on a municipal plot of some 2,000 m², with an investment of close to 300,000 euros funded by the Canary Islands Government, the Cabildo and the Town Council.

Information

It has a barbecue area, shaded tables for about a hundred people, showers, toilets and a kiosk-restaurant with a terrace for about forty diners. It has direct access to Puntalarga beach, some one hundred metres of black sand, and parking. The whole area is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

It is reached by car along the coast road (LP-207) or on foot from Los Canarios along municipal Route 3. Fires are allowed only in the barbecues and under the conditions set by the Town Council; it is advisable to bring water and take all rubbish away.
