Fuencaliente, natural set.

Film locations have, beyond their economic value, an impact on the visitor who chooses to relive an experience inherited from the images seen on the big screen.

At an international level, Fuencaliente de La Palma has been a key place for filming in its wonderful, attractive landscapes. One example was the shooting of the film "El Mundo Perdido" in 1977, starring Patrick Wayne (John Wayne's son) and directed by Kevin Connor; or, more recently, the new film nominated for the 2021 Oscars, "Good Morning Midnight", directed by George Clooney. Beyond cinema, advertising agencies have explored the most picturesque corners of the municipality, such as Shangay magazine, which, in the words of the admired Mónica Naranjo, describes La Palma as a "secret paradise". Currently, the Spanish brand ZARA has chosen to shoot its latest men's line campaign in the volcanic landscapes of the south of the island. And on the small screen, a well-known German television channel has created an entertainment slot, known as WRS Reisen, on the travel programme Wunderschön!, showcasing every corner of the island; and at the national level, TVE has highlighted the gastronomic customs of the municipality with the famous and much-loved Ana Duato, on the programme "Un país para comérselo".

This municipality is committed to offering film and advertising producers great locations, ideal for a shoot full of sensations. Its climate and scenery — pine forests, volcanoes, coastline — and the safety it offers are key to reaching millions of viewers.

Many visitors want to get to know the place, stroll through its streets, have a coffee or stay somewhere a story has unfolded. These are some examples of the need to relive a unique experience — and here you can discover it.
